Under 7.2.1.21. Duplicate data discarding (alternative 2):
"...Data items with the same properties.data_id but a later publication time should be copied into the cache (see test Notification processing). Data items with the same properties.data_id but earlier or identical publication times should be ignored"
...it says that whenever pubtime is newer, a new download should take place. But wasn't it intended that this only applies to updates (rel="update" and not for rel="canonical")? If we always do it, we will quickly have continuous loops if someone accidentally overwrites the pubtime instead of leaving the original time.
