I have tried a few things and it seems that if I have a nerd installed it is the cause of the 2 icons being made smaller. If i just use font-awesome the icons are fine. I do however need to have a nerd font installed because I need it for my terminal. Im currently using meslo nerd font for powerline10k.
Perhaps there is a way to make the blocklet ignore the nerd font?
as for the clicking issue i'm not sure what to try with that, I started using i3 this week so a bit unfamiliar with it atm.

Expected behavior
when increasing the volume the icons to remain at the appropriate size.
also when clicking as described on the blocket info i would expect the sink to change or mute
Actual behavior
when increasing the volume, the mid range icon and the max level icon become very small. the no sound currently playing icon is unaffected.
also when clicking on this blocklet nothing happens
