Embed particles on a pseudocolor plot #18847
-
Hi, I have a data file, which contains field and particle data. Now, I plotted a pseudocolor plot for Jy as a function of x and z. A screenshot of this plot and other details has been attached here. Based on the screenshot, I have a few queries.

For 2D plotting, VisIt tries to be smart about placing plots with areal entities (polygons) behind plots with point or curve entities. So, the basic idea is just add the point plots and VisIt should plot them on top of the 2D areal plot you show here. Sometimes, you have to go to the plot list (the list of plots in the panel at left) and drag the plots around in order in the list to force VisIt to plot them in a specific order you need...top most in the list I think is drawn last.
Yes, sounds like a scatter plot to me.
For point-meshes (and variables thereon), you can use Index Select operator in 1D mode
Sounds like you might need to use VisIt's expressions for this. Define the expression and plot that. |
