PHP version

I am trying to install psalm via composer.
The installation documentation says: "The latest version of Psalm requires PHP> = 7.1 and Composer".
But when I run "composer require --dev vimeo / psalm", I get the error:
Problem 1
- vimeo / psalm 4.0.1 requires php ^ 7.3 | ^ 8 -> your PHP version (7.2.24) does not satisfy that requirement.
- vimeo / psalm 4.0.0-beta3 requires php ^ 7.3 | ^ 8 -> your PHP version (7.2.24) does not satisfy that requirement.
- vimeo / psalm 4.0.0-beta1 requires php ^ 7.3 | ^ 8 -> your PHP version (7.2.24) does not satisfy that requirement.
- vimeo / psalm 4.0.0 requires php ^ 7.3 | ^ 8 -> your PHP version (7.2.24) does not satisfy that requirement.
What's my mistake and can I to fix it?

If you need to use psalm on PHP 7.1, you can use composer require --dev vimeo/psalm:^3.

Currently, the latest (v4) versions require at least PHP 7.3 (documentation may be a bit outdated).

Psalm should be compatible with 7.1 even in V4. It was bumped in the beggining of V4 but it was revised after some time because Psalm doesn't use 7.1+ features yet

Specifically, Psalm 4.0 requires 7.3+, but 4.1+ allows 7.1

Psalm 4.1 requires PHP 7.1 to run.
