had anyone try ventura? #74
Comments
Ha no... I don't get too much time to maintain this project since I have a lot of schoolwork, and @varszegimarcell (the owner) probably has a lot of things going on with him too. This error is mostly related to Apple's discontinuation of the integrated graphics inside this machine. Sorry! |
Thank you for your reply |
Keep the faith, as the Opencore Legacy Patcher seems to work with earlier versions...there is still hope that a technical solution can be found. A quick check of your Config.plist to the latest Opencore sample suggests some things are missing. Maybe worth checking those and letting us know how you get on. |
hi I have try the 18,1 EFI do modifications and it's worked! |
May I ask what optiplex this is? (like MT etc) |
I have successfully used ventura (Dell Optiplex 3020 MT), maybe you can check my EFI below. After installing venture, you need to patch using OCLP. I decided to downgrade to Monetrey because there are some bugs. Ventura is not recommended if you don't use D-GPU. |
I have the optiplex 3020 sff |
Ok thank you! |
As far as graphics goes, this computer is bound to run into at least some issues. 5th gen Broadwell was the last generation of intel to use tech similar to 4th gen. With 6th gen, things are changed so that macOS has to communicate with the CPU differently and that will cause issues. I am sorry I can't help you guys, I simply do not use macOS on this computer anymore. I believe, with macOS 14, it will likely become impossible to run macOS simply because of Apple's plans to stop support for 6th gen CPU in the next version. |
I've tried to change SMBIOS to iMac18.1. System boots fine but no display
