  • Using ordinal regression and ordinal loss functions to basically learn to rank -- treat it as an ordinal regression problem.
    • For this, we shift perspective into learning to rank problems. I have found couple of implementations and papers for ordinal regression:
    • Scikit learn similar API:

To keep in mind interesting article about performance measure in case of imbalanced classes in ordinal regression.
