Hey Tim -- How can we keep track of the parent of an inserted node? I see that we only track the label that is inserted, but it would be useful to know where that node is inserted.

That would indeed be useful. Not sure if I have the bandwidth to write the feature at the moment but I am happy to review a pull request!
