"Publication Type" Chooser in "Edit Publication" Panel Isn't Clickable in Chrome

Describe the bug
The green "Edit" button found to the right of every item in the "Publications" section opens the "Edit Publication" panel in which a "Publication Type" chooser appears. That chooser cannot be clicked, so no edits can be saved.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. scroll down to "Publilcations" section
2. click green "Edit" button for any of the items
3. see "Edit Publication" panel
4. see "Publication Type" chooser
5. click on chooser
6. nothing happens

Expected behavior
The intended "Publilcation Type" should be pre-populated, and I assume a diffeerent one could be chosen. Why does this chooser exist otherwise?
