Make Alerts Non-Modal

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
The alerts that appear when certain actions in Thoth have been made are annoyingly persistent. They often obscure buttons or fields behind them if only a couple have piled up on screen.

I definitely see the value in receiving feedback that, for example, a save has been committed - but would be preferable if the alerts were automatically dismissed after 10 seconds, unless the user closes them manually first.

A notifications panel that would store recent alerts would be a great option, for those who wish to check back to see the history.

Non-modal alerts! When do I want them? Whenever you have the time!

Smashing my keyboard, but it didn't really help.
