Adding minimum word lengths for letters

I'm willing to have a go at adding minimum word lengths for letters so the solutions can take the limit into account; could you suggest a possible plan of attack for doing that so I can start off from a sensible point?

In board.js there is a traverse function. Right now the minimum word size is hard coded to be 3, should be easy enough to make it a setting.
