If a dataset is stored in a relational database, there is a good chance, that there are constraints in the database, that we can import into the MDMS for further analysis:

  • primary keys
  • UNIQUE constraints
  • foreign keys / referential integrity
  • NOT NULL constraints
  • data types
  • CHECK constraints optional
