Hello,

My company and I are planning to use Elassandra as database for a project, but also need (it's a must!) to have ElasticSearch 7.x version minimum to satisfy our customer's needs.

This project should take start on February of the next year.

When will Elassandra with ES 7.x be released? Do you have a scheduled date, more or less?

Thank you very much and best regards,

Paolo

Thank you very much,

Elassandra 6.8.4 (ES 6.8.4+C* 3.11.5) will be released this week.

I take this as a promise! 💯

@vroyer Sorry for this question , but Do you have any idea about an expected date for outing a stable version of Cassandra 4.x ? and How long will it take approximately for Elassandra to deploy CassV4 + ESv7.x after that ?

Thanks

It's about 2 months of work to migrate Elassandra with Elasticsearch 7.x.
For production release of Cassandra 4.x, it really depends on tests by the community and big companies like Apple, Netflix...

Hello @vroyer ,

Cassandra 4.0 beta1 is out now. Do you think a new Elassandra (beta) could already be done?

As stated in this official article,

This is the most stable Apache Cassandra in history; you should start using Apache Cassandra 4.0 Beta today in your test and QA environments
[...]
There will be no new features or breaking API changes in future Beta or GA builds. You can expect the time you put into the beta to translate into transitioning your production workloads to 4.0 in the near future.

Thanks and best regards
