Hello & Welcome!

I'm Yunha Lee, an accomplished atmospheric scientist with over 14 years of post-Ph.D. experience. My career has spanned a broad spectrum of projects, from global-scale climate modeling to intricate local-scale studies, employing both traditional physics-based and innovative machine learning techniques. I am driven by a passion to use my expertise to address scientific challenges, develop science-based solutions, and support the open-source community. Currently, due to health considerations, I'm seeking flexible work arrangements and am eager to dedicate my skills to the open-source community in the meantime.

My Open Source Projects

  • Simplified Napari Hub Website Project: I initiated a project, napari hub lite, to create a streamlined, yet fully functional, version of the “napari hub” website, which has greatly reduced operational costs while preserving access to crucial resources. For more information and to see this project in action, visit the napari Hub Lite project page.

  • 3D Visualization Tool for Geoscience (napari-geo): I led a project, napari-geo, to bring advanced visualization capabilities to the geoscience community using “napari” - a fast, interactive viewer for multi-dimensional images in Python. It provides a powerful, yet user-friendly platform for 3D visualization of complex geoscientific data, simplifying research analysis and interpretation. For more information and to see this project in action, visit the napari-geo project page.

  • Open-Source Resources for the Atmospheric Community: Over the years, I've developed and shared useful Python and R scripts from my research. I'm committed to adapting my previous work for broader community use and creating new tools to enhance research workflows, data analysis, and scientific collaboration.

How Your Support Helps

Your sponsorship will fuel the continued development and enhancement of these projects. With your support, I can:

  • Develop New Features: Improve functionality and user experience across my open-source contributions.
  • Community Engagement: Host workshops, webinars, and personalized sessions to empower researchers and developers with these tools.
  • Collaborative Opportunities: Collaborate with other scientists and developers to embrace new ideas, incorporate feedback, and broaden our collective impact.

Why Sponsor Me?

Sponsoring me means supporting more than just my projects; you're investing in a future where Earth Science is accessible, collaborative, and impactful. Your support bridges the gap between scientific research and real-world solutions, enabling us to tackle the critical challenges facing our society and planet.

Rewards for Sponsors

• Recognition: Sponsors receive acknowledgment in project documentation and updates (optional).
• Direct Influence: Participate in shaping the future of projects through exclusive polls and feedback sessions.

Join Me in This Journey

I am genuinely excited about what lies ahead and believe that together, we can accomplish remarkable things. If you share my enthusiasm for advancing Earth Science and supporting the open-source community, I warmly invite you to become a sponsor today.
Thank you for considering support for my work. Together, we can create a lasting impact.
