I have been developing open source software since 2017. I maintain and contribute to libraries, packages, and tools, mostly Python. For some reason, I have been gravitating towards the Python async ecosystem.

I've worked on HTTPX, the next-generation HTTP client for Python, to which I still contribute from time to time, mainly in the form of issue triaging and discussions.

I've helped promote ASGI as a means of interoperability between Python async web apps and frameworks. Currently this work includes:

• Community projects like awesome-asgi.
• Blogging about it.
• Building and maintaining packages like asgi-lifespan, msgpack-asgi, arel, asgi-sitemaps, tartiflette-asgi, asgi-htmx.
• Modestly contributing to Encode projects other than HTTPX, such as Uvicorn and Starlette.

There are a few other packages under my namespace:

• djangorestframework-api-key - A popular extension for adding API key support to the Django REST Framework.
• aiometer - A concurrency scheduling library for asyncio and trio.
• httpx-sse - A library for consuming server-sent events with HTTPX.

I also blog about Python, software development, web development, and ecodesign of digital services.

I work full time and I have other activities in life not related to software development. This means that I need to prioritize how I spend time on the projects I maintain or contribute to. As a result, some of these projects do not receive the amount of care they'd need.
