Questions about nexus connecting to the internet through a proxy

Actually, it's about nexus3 connecting to the internet through a proxy, and the server I'm running nexus3 on now can't use the internet directly. But me can surf the Internet through a socks5 proxy, but nexus3 seems to only support http type proxies? If there is a way to configure the SOSKS5 proxy to surf the Internet correctly, please let me know, thank you~
