Considering 2 documents are identified as describing the same resource

An example is a record harvested from Bonares, also included via cordis-doi-openaire.

How can both metadata sets be merged to a single set

  • Either go to source, to retrieve latest
  • Or start with one, for each property add if not exist or if is different

DoD

  • 2 documents as identified as duplicate are merged to a single record in the frontend
  • the record indicates that the record originates from 2 catalogues

@hugodegrootwurnl , have the following aspects already been finalized?

  • 2 documents as identified as duplicate are merged to a single record in the frontend
  • the record indicates that the record originates from 2 catalogues

With @pvgenuchten we discussed this issue, which is essentially (part of?) the implementation of the "duplicities identification". While it is one of the 11 functionalities we are focussing on, the impression is that, at least with the sources we are focussing on now, not something we will encounter a lot.

Q: Are we keen on having something in iteration 1, e.g. based on fictitious data?
