max distance from site should change depending on different parameters such as vegetative cover, elevation, aspect, etc...

Could we create a raster file for slope angle and aspect using 3dep or national map?

Is there a DEM available for the region? We can easily create slope angle and aspect from a DEM

Sites were selected base on a 5 km buffer, but further filtering can be done on analysis to only include snowex measurements within the buffer
