Note: This issue is for tracking the need for designs which would then follow up with development.
Upon releasing a campaign we should help the publisher(s) celebrate their achievement of going live. Because this has relatively more impact and uncertainty of whats going on than when publishing a single page, I feel that we can do something more noticeable than the standard successful toast notification (covered here #131).

ACs for designs:

  • Loading indicator. There would be a delay in publishing most campaigns (unless we fake an instant publish and then slowly ran through the campaign to publish all the content.
  • Success notification. Add a modal (or in preview panel?) to say congratulations, the campaign has been successfully launched.
  • Follow on actions. Consider if any follow on actions would help users decide what to do next, like: duplicate Campaign, view campaign, see a report on the campaign, setup analytics or other tracking...
  • Campaign launch stats. Provide some more details of the campaign e.g. How many items were published as part of the campaign.

Probably the user should remain on the campaign detail view? try to consider what is the best flow as part of this issue, and recommend an appropriate flow once the campaign has been published.

Opted for a Toast notification in the first instance gets us somewhat some of the way there. Should be in the next release 4.8? Its a little underwhelming if it was a massive launch but better than nothing. Designs would still be worth creating for future reference.
