+I want to give a special mention to slax (slax.org) because it might be my next debian-based barebone desktop. It has a lot of potentials as a live OS or regular desktop, with no installation needed. I feel that currently there are some kinks such as slower boot up (perhaps due to some jobs and auto scan/mount file systems) and slight delay of xlunch.
