@Brunnis hello with each performance mode app applies corresponding "windows Power mode". If you don't want that - you can go to Extra and uncheck "Auto adjust windows power modes". Then you can select any windows power mode you want, and app won't touch them :) |

Hi! Let me begin by saying thank you for a great application. I've been testing it on my brand new Zephyrus G14 2023 (GA402XI: 7940HS + RTX 4070). Everything has been working well except for one thing that's been bothering me: Silent mode in G-Helper is not in any way comparable to Silent mode in Armoury Crate. I first noticed that the performance in G-Helper's Silent mode was much lower than with Armoury Crate:
Cinebench R23 Single/Multi:
Armoury Crate (Silent): 1799/16058
G-Helper (Silent): 1226/13287
After observing the clock frequencies, I discovered that Silent mode in G-Helper caps the CPU to a maximum of 3.43 GHz. This was also confirmed by running Geekbench 5, where the frequency would never go above ~3.4 GHz. There doesn't appear to be any short duration boosting or similar, it just shoots up to 3.4 GHz and stays there. This is true whether the load is single threaded or multi threaded.
This very low frequency obviously leads to very silent operation, but I don't think hard-capping the CPU to 3.4 GHz is intended behavior.
I should mention that this is on a completely fresh Windows 11 installation, where Armoury Crate has never been installed. I have also experimented with setting different PPT limits on the Silent profile, but going from 25W/80W up to 55W/125W has zero effect on performance or frequencies. The performance of the Balanced mode in G-Helper closely matches that of Armoury Crate's Performance mode, so there doesn't appear to be an issue with that profile.
Is this to be considered a bug or is there something I've missed?
