Question about your avatar

Hi,
This is more a personal question than related to this repo, but how did you made your avatar (profile image)? Did you designed yourself with a graphic software, used a template or a tool (like an app or website)? If yes, what is?
I really like the design of your avatar.

Thanks! I made it myself in Adobe Illustrator, but I imagine you could do something similar in any sort of drawing/vector program (or even Google Drawings if you very patient).

I basically traced a picture of myself in "layers" using the Illustrator pen tool (so first just face/ears/shoulders, then hair, then shirt -- I did this so I could have a full "shape" that I could easily fill and manipulate) and then stacked the layers. It's not too hard, just requires playing around with the shapes and colors a bit to get it to a point that you're happy with.
