Cookies file not generated on poisontap

Hello,
I followed the instructions described here: https://github.com/jr-k/poisontap/tree/068c2836deb61b150946acf3395ccf11eb3b3ad1 to install poisontap on Raspberry Pi zero. Unfortunately no animation is started when the poisontap is plugged to a computer. No cookies file is created. Please I need help

What does the web console say? You will need to hit an HTTP (non-HSTS) site for the attack to be effective, which is becoming increasingly difficult as the web moves to HTTPS.

Same issue, I checked on my Mac running Sierra if poisontap is being detecting, and it shows a yellow circle next to RNDIS, but cannot load any animations and no cookie file is created. I have visited several HTTP sites which are prone to this attack but none worked.
