Newsblur advances far into the unread list after I read an article. This means I have to scroll up and up to get back to the article I just read.
Then it seems that Newsblur is reluctant to mark as read articles that scroll off the top of the screen.

I'm happy to provide more information if it's needed.

I've been a Newsblur user since an asteroid caused the Chicxulub crater, and I use Newblur in almost the same way every time. This means I'm sensitive to changes in behavior. I haven't changed my feeds since Napoleon invaded Russia, and I restrict myself to unread articles. I do switch occasionally between text and story modes, and I don't use any other features. (I seem to have Focus selected, but I don't know what it does.)

My story order is newest first, and I have content preview set to 4 lines. I read top-down, opening articles I find interesting. I often follow Newsblur's story link to an outside site. In one out of ten articles, I email the Newsblur story link to myself. In Hacker News articles I occasionally email myself a comments link.

What seems to be happening is that Newsblur loses where it is supposed to return to when a story is opened and then closed. It seems to jump to the middle of my unread list. (Getting back to where I was involves scrolling up many screenfulls since I have ~1200 unreaded stories.) Now it doesn't seen occur all the time, but a few days ago it seemed to occur all the time.

@vgivanovic Is this somewhat representative of your usage? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JDI-ceNqJdmCWV3WgdP46c252D7dcjah/view?usp=sharing In the recording I'm highlighting the behavior of the stories list after reading the content of a few stories.

The Focus tab is for viewing stories from stories/authors you tagged via the trainer. If you want to view all your unread stories, use the Unread tab.
