We should check that the correct macros package is installed, and contact the config maintainer (we have none?): https://rpm-software-management.github.io/mock/Mock-Core-Configs

Does something respond to the system-release and system-rpm-config provider names? Ultimately those two virtual names need to be satisfied in any and all Red Hat family chroots.
