It would nice if qtractor would support the Ctrl-Q shortcut to close the application #457

This is a semi-standard shortcut supported by a lot of applications.

well said, semi-standard; but you can assign Ctrl+Q or whatever shortcut to File/Exit (see Help/Shortcuts...)

C-q would have to be one of the most retarded mappings I've ever heard of and I almost broke my wrist just thinking about it. Saying it's "standard" is comparable to what most people think of when it comes to a "standard" OS. Anyway, one of the really nice things about Qtractor is the ability to map all the things to your binding of choice. It's important to think of these things as "I'd like to have the capability to map this operation (exit) to a keybinding of my choosing" rather than advocate the mapping be hard-coded into the software itself. While that hard-coded mapping may please you, others are more than likely to mumble horrible things when they encounter it.
