What should be done with the "Next Slide" button?

Currently, the "Next Slide" and "Previous Slide" buttons do what they say: they open the next slide in the list. The problem is that, with the new table of contents, each slide has two configs (english and french), but the buttons will always bring you to the next/previous slide's english config.

Click "Next Slide" on Slide 3 English -> Slide 4 English
Click "Next Slide" on Slide 3 French -> Slide 4 English

Click "Previous Slide" on Slide 3 English -> Slide 2 English
Click "Previous Slide" on Slide 3 French -> Slide 2 English

As you can see, there's no way to access the French configs just using these buttons. The actions taken by these buttons should probably be enhanced. Possible solutions include:

• Button will take you to the same language on the next/previous slide (e.g. "Next Slide" for Slide 2 English -> Slide 3 English, "Next Slide" for Slide 2 French -> Slide 3 French).
• Buttons will take you to the next config, even if it's in the same slide (e.g. "Next Slide" goes Slide 2 English -> Slide 2 French -> Slide 3 English -> Slide 3 French).

What do you guys think should be done? If you have any other ideas, please also share.

I'm in favor of option 1, since that behavior would be more consistent with the names of the buttons. Plus, users would most likely be working on one language's config at a time, rather than switching between the two.

We could also add some buttons that allow the user to switch between lang configs of a given slide, but that may make the UI look bloated.

Agreed on these points and my vote would also be option 1. The current UI groups together the EN and FR slide so intuitively users would expect to jump to the next slide of the same language.
