I completely forgot, even though I saw that almost two years ago. There was a COVID-paper that used the V1 data (2020-2021 coverage) with plenty of useful outputs stored in repositories at https://github.com/bsc-flowmaps/ . These also include a website https://flowmaps.life.bsc.es/flowboard/, but also an API to get some of that origin destination data https://flowmaps.life.bsc.es/api/apidocs

For whatever reason, all https://flowmaps.life.bsc.es/ are now redirecting to https://inb-elixir.es/ .
A project snapshot is available on the Web Archive (https://web.archive.org/web/20240521184457/https://flowmaps.life.bsc.es/flowboard/), but Web Archive did not do a good job at preserving the page formatting.
