Support for Typst 0.12.0

Description

Can anyone point me to Quarto's vendoring cycle/policy for Typst?

My question was prompted by the release of Typst 0.12.0 a few days ago, which includes a bunch of nice features that I'd like to access via Quarto. In particular, enabling line numbers a la typst/typst#4516.

It will likely be included in 1.7.

Our general policy with dependencies is:

• ideally, we upgrade at most once every release cycle
• ideally, we upgrade at every release cycle
• ideally, we do not upgrade late in the release cycle

I created related issue #11294 , but I closed it bc similar issue is here #10105, closing mine because it is duplicate,
@grantmcdermott you might try to use your system typst (for example to have access to bugfix by setting shell variable QUARTO_TYPST= to your typst system path)

FWIW I ran the Quarto tests and have been using Typst 0.12 with Quarto for a week with no issues.

We need support in Pandoc to support some of its new features, but it seems to be fully compatible. I think we can switch early in 1.7

Just a comment about release cycle, after 0.12 typst developers plan to ship new release every 6-8 weeks (0.12 took longer due to architecture changes et cetera) https://forum.typst.app/t/why-is-the-release-cycle-so-slow/570/2
Quarto has releases around ~ 2 times a year, I completely understand freezing dependencies in the window before release, given the policies stated above is there a possible change for potentially more dependencies updates during the development window if it will be sufficiently early in the development?

Not unless something goes very wrong. We have a lot of dependencies and it's a significant source of toil on our development time.
