To support the broader CDDA community and encourage more playtesting on the 0.H Stable Candidate, I am requesting that the Catapult launcher include the ability to download 0.H release candidates alongside the stable and experimental versions of CDDA.

I saw a post where I-am-Erk has mentioned, increasing the accessibility of the stable candidate via the launchers may encourage more players to play the release candidates.

I feel that due to the inability to play the latest release candidates via the launcher results in fewer reports for stable candidate testing.

Making these release candidates available directly in Catapult could improve the situation by offering a convenient way for users to try out and test the 0.H stable candidate. Personally, I often stick to the experimental version due to the quality-of-life features that the Catapult launcher provides, even though I would prefer to play on the stable candidate and contribute to its playtesting.

I believe this added support would encourage more players to engage with the release candidates, aligning with the developers' goals to drive progress toward a stable 0.H release.

If I'm not mistaken, release candidates are typically considered pre-release versions that are less stable than official releases but more stable than experimental versions.

I think players who prefer stability might appreciate a semi-stable, newer version (Release Candidate), but those accustomed to experimental versions might not be willing to sacrifice features for stability..

It should be possible to download that version if you load more experimental versions, but adding such a feature would also ask for automatically filtering 0.H release candidates which would be a useless feature when stable hits, and on top of that people usually don't check for launcher updates regularly as its a manual process so I don't expect many people to update soon enough to use it while its hot and available (bad pun sorry).

Still, if anyone has a good idea on how to handle this cleanly, I won't block it.

Oh yeah, you are correct, the release candidates do appear under experimental:

You do have a point, the work may not be worth the effort as this would only really be useful when release candidates are available.

Would be a nice to have, but since the experimental section does have the release candidates I guess it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
