In additional to show the submission type in #21 we (FOSSGIS) have missed an option to select/filter the submission types for voting. e.g. we have some submission like opening, closing or other side-events which are already fixed.

Both filters for tracks and for submission types would definitely be cool to have!

Related: We received feedback from attendees that filtering talks votes for already would also be a helpful feature.

Pretalx Voting is a really cool plugin for Pretalx! Thanks for making it available, it helps a lot.

We use it for PyConDE / PyData and already got a lot of feedback that filtering for tracks and keywords would be really helpful.

Please open a new issue for that – this issue is about the organiser side: Filtering out some submission types (or tracks), so that they won't be voted on at all.

(Both sound like solid ideas and I'd be happy to merge PRs that provide either feature.)

It's now possible to limit the public voting to certain tracks. This is
implemented as close as possible as the feature in pretalx where you
can limit tracks for certain review teams.

Related to pretalx#26.

This is similar to limiting to by tracks.

Internally in the code it's not called "session", but "submission" type,
that naming is preserved throughout the code. The name "session" is used
for using facing parts like help messages.

Closes pretalx#26.
