First, you should log the issue in the homeassistant repo since this is now a standard integration.
Second, that's by design. Sometimes the Life360 server sends old data, and when it does it needs to be ignored, otherwise HA will show your device "going backwards." It is issued as a warning so that you know it's happening.
In my experience it doesn't happen often at all, although I've heard from one or two people that they see it more often. (E.g., see this community forum post.) Not sure why, but again, the old data has to be ignored.
