By developing Open Source tools / packages and making these available and accessible we are hoping that others will help us refine and improve the tools. At least we hope for feedback on the tools, and having collaborators help us implement new features would be lovely. But there seems to be a much larger number of people who merely consume these tools and packages than feel able to contribute.
How do we encourage "average" users to help contribute? In what ways can an "average" user contribute?
Many people will say "I don't know enough to be able to contribute" or "It's too complicated to contribute..." or even "I'm not sure I'm allowed to contribute...". How would we answer these comments?
