Difficult to see the sun's rays

While reviewing a customized PhET-iO simulation of Energy Forms and Changes, I saw that the sun's rays are difficult to distinguish against the yellow background:

Using a color sampler, I saw that the shades are very similar:

sun's ray: (253,252,124)
background: (248,244,209)

This feels like a usability/accessibility problem.

Thanks @samreid. I agree the color contrast isn't great. Let's plan on updating the colors the next time this sim is republished.

Note that this sim doesn't have a color profile, so experimenting with colors is inconvenient.

Since this sim isn't a current priority, I'm unassigning myself.
