Sometimes can't type

There are some instances where you can't type in the input bar. It's not clear why this is happening so the next step is trying to reliably reproduce this.

It happens on Firefox most of the time. I can only type when I refresh the app, but then I can't edit it.

Reproduction Steps (First Approach)

1. Open a chat
2. Type a message (try to type a message that does't need suggestions)
3. Click the arrow (send) button the screen (DO NOT click 'return' or 'enter' on keyboard)
4. Once the message is sent, click in the input bar and it should not allow you to type

Reproduction Steps (Second Approach)

1. Open a chat
2. Type a message (try to type a message that does't need suggestions)
3. Click the arrow (send) button the screen (DO NOT click 'return' or 'enter' on keyboard)
4. Once the message is sent, click random letters on keyboard
5. click in the input bar and it should not allow you to type
