Describe the bug

I have no idea what happened here. A wild duo of Probopass and Diggersby were sweeping my team when I knocked out the former. I then proceeded to select the move for my first Pokemon Gastly, and then the move dialogue cropped up for teaching Binacle Fury Swipes. I refused and now it has Diggersby flashing as if it's targeted and the dialogue for Binacle not learning the move on screen. After hitting Enter, the dialogue went away and the battle proceeded as normal from Binacle's move selection.

Reproduction

????????????????????????

Expected behavior

Binacle should have tried to learn Fury Swipes either before or after the move selection process.

This was captured after the fact and shows the translucent selected Diggersby.

Do you remember if Probopass and/or your Pokemon fainted in an unusual way (e.g., end-of-turn passive damage)?

Also, could you please share the save data to help with reproducing the bug? (Menu > Manage Data > Export Session > Correct Slot)

I don't remember, but think it was an Earthquake that did the Probopass in. The run is over, no way to share it. Probopass got whittled down a thousand different ways including, but not limited to...

  • Helping Hand-boosted Brutal Swing
  • Lick
  • Wrap damage
  • Confusion damage
  • Earthquake

Additionally, I think my Tinkatink (fainted by the end of the battle) used either Metal Claw or Rock Smash.

  1. Nidoran used Poison Sting!
  2. Azurill learns a new move
  3. Azurill is damaged

I think need to send in a mon at the same time as an opponent faints, and the exp would give the switch in enough exp to level up and learn a new move.
-This is a pain to test, Basc learns a new move at level 6
