Description of issue

I am trying to uninstall [email protected]. However, every time I try to do so, I get the following:

Error: Refusing to uninstall /opt/homebrew/Cellar/[email protected]/3.11.10
because it is required by icdiff, which is currently installed.
You can override this and force removal with:
  brew uninstall --ignore-dependencies [email protected]

This seems odd as the Homebrew page for icdiff shows [email protected] as its dependency.

My icdiff is also up to date, which can be seen here when I try to upgrade it:

$ brew upgrade icdiff
Warning: icdiff 2.0.7 already installed

Any advice would be much appreciated!

icdiff and a whole bunch of other Python-dependent formulae were migrated to [email protected] without revision bumps (because the main packages haven't changed) on Oct 4, so your local brew thinks your existing install (which depends on [email protected]) is already up-to-date.

brew reinstall icdiff to "upgrade" icdiff, then brew rm [email protected]. Rinse and repeat with other [email protected]-dependent formulae that brew subsequently complains about.
