my old IDL 7 no longer wants to run with MacOS monterey and a new homebrew install

Dear all, I just came back to my office after the two bizarre years we all know about. My Mac Pro wanted an OS update so I hesitantly installed Monterey and then I cleaned and reinstalled Homebrew (after Xcode and command line tools were updated).
I am testing some of the software I used to play with the most and one of them is my old IDL 7.0.6 installation (for which I still have a lot of scripts that are helpful). I cannot remember how I solved this problem before, but right now when I try to run IDL, I get this error message, which refers to an X11 library that no longer exists. I guess I went around it somehow because I removed Xquartz and moved to brew and I was doing work... Does anyone know about this? Help!

Sorry! I was using a linux laptop at home. Thus my lack of information. I just found that there is actually a brew cask for Xquartz. I ran it and now I am ok. Thanks.
