Hi guys, I am about to start my #Task1 but the kid I have has a limited understanding in English as opposed to Swahili. So my question is am I allowed to translate the Tasks during her navigation?

@kigwa-martha I think you should translate the task for kids while navigating the lesson and you can as well send a message to the mentors to let them know about it.

Hello dear @kigwa-martha
I have helped you to tag the mentor's @AddisalemB and @Kebith .
They are the ones that can clarify you on what to do
But in my opinion, I believe you can help me kid interpret the lesson in swahili, I would also suggest you document it as an observation, so the oppia team can be informed on how to translate languages for students that understand only swahili.

Hi @kigwa-martha Just like @successoghogho mentioned you can interpret to the child because the child cannot understand on his own. You can also suggest to the Oppia team in your report for them to include natives like Swahili to available languages on Oppia. Then next time if you have a question, ask on the Q/A tab here https://github.com/oppia/lessons-team/discussions/categories/q-a so your questions will have more people's opinion before a mentor will eventually give the final response. You can help them out and later document it on the challenges that were encountered during the lesson delivery and also recommend that a version of Swahili translation be available in the near future
