There is an issue with digitalbazaar/rdf-canonize that causes trouble when working with W3C credentials in React Native (resulting in a 'crypto.subtle not found.' error). @nbAmit (who reported it to me) was able to work around it by following the instructions of this comment.

I haven't looked into it yet. I just wanted to drop this here in case others are also bumping into it.

I saw that there's already a 5.x.x release of digital credentials fork of vc-js while we're still on 1.x.x. Might be worth updating dependencies and see if some issues are resolved. the changelog mentions some issues that have been resolved for React Native in the releases
