When a node is initially configured with the eth0 and wlan0 interfaces in a bridge, and you then change the eth0 interface from the Commotion protocol to static protocol (for a mesh-over-ethernet scenario), the eth0 interface is not put back into the wan firewall zone. This prevents the interface from, among other things, NATing traffic, and thus creates routing problems.
