@teolemon Please be more verbose.
How do you expect Smoothie to know if the user is a moderator when not logged in?
If the question is: "Let everybody set the moderator panels!", I guess that should be dealt with on the server side, that would return the moderator panels regardless of the cookie / moderator status.

if you're a moderator, it currently requires a login and logout to get the cookie, it seems

@g123k Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's a problem only for moderators (obviously) and only if they NEVER close the app, as at app init time we automatically log again.

Yes exactly.
I don't think this bug is relevant anymore
