General thoughts from a first time user

My thoughts:

1. I'm not convinced by the home page goal - obviously it's about food, but I would rather start with a list of filters (organic, eco score, Nutriscore). Don't show me all the foods on the planet, filter them first according to my tastes
2. the order of the foods is somehow hidden
3. as a vegan/vegetarian, there's no way I'm going to tolerate to see everyday meat, fish and so on - I wish I could be able to exclude categories in the home page, with preferences
4. I'm not a big fan either of the horizontal scroll (list 1) + vertical scroll (list 2) in the home page: it brings confusion. I guess a vertical scroll on list 1 where a click shows a vertical scroll on list 2 would be better

Right, currently the preferences are too hidden, but the goal is to make them central: you declare your preferences (like vegan or vegetarian) and then it is used to rank / filter all results. (we created a new API for that: https://wiki.openfoodfacts.org/Product_Attributes )
It's currently in alpha testing on the OFF web site, if you want to try, please send me your OFF user name and I can turn it on for you.

@stephanegigandet @teolemon Btw is there a roadmap about smoothie? In README they mention fastlane, which looks very promising, but could obviously not be the only target. And the "Our Slack" link in README is unfortunately corrupted.
I'm excited to contribute to OFF one way or the other, as a flutter/dart developer and an end-user.

• I've fixed the link in the README.

• Fastlane is going to be important if we want fast iteration and deploying to 2 platforms quickly (manual deploy is 1hr + an initial set up that's longer)

• Personal Search is the initial core value proposition. You can have a look at the classic app for other things, but getting a full implementation of Personal Search is the feature that will make Smoothie enticing.

Regarding the roadmap, the personal search interface on the OFF web site is almost complete, the goal now is to replicate it on the Flutter app.

@teolemon Of course fastlane is super important for a multi-platform and multi-lingual app; I meant "using fastlane" could not be the purpose of the app itself. "Personal Search" makes more sense, definitely.

I've checked, and I confirm I've got access to "Personal Search" on the website.

By the way you don't mention "web" as a target flutter platform: my recent experience with flutter/web is surprisingly good, and I would not discard this possibility. Except of course for the flutter channel ping-pong that is a pain in the neck in the development phase.

I can connect to slack; that's not something I enjoy, though. To me it's like - excuse my French - chatting with colleagues in a social network. I prefer the pace of GitHub issues.
