Below is a literal copy of google doc issue 4:

  1. Change Set P : proposal to support speaks for by the AMs, exogeni/Planetlab not yet support it - AMSoil will implement speaks for. Wim will provide more documentation and revisit this

Marshall: (http://groups.geni.net/geni/wiki/GAPI_AM_API_DRAFT#ChangeSetP:SupportproxyclientsthatSpeakForanexperimenter). This is the 'speaks for' capability. It is important, I think, that aggregates advertise whether they handle speaks for, and that there are standards for how this is done.
Wim: I’ll add documentation about speaksFor later (or anyone else that has info can add it)

Jordan: We need a side-by-side comparison with delegation, and treat both issues in the same way in the AM specification. In particular, how is transitive “delegation” handled. (see point 23).

Thierry: I’d like to second Jordan’s comment here; it is not very clear to me what the whole purpose of ‘speaks for’ is as compared to delegated credentials in the historical, pre-ABAC, world; so my guess is it has to do with adopting ABAC ? Talking of which, I would have expected that support for ABAC be the topic of a Change Set of its own ? As a kind reminder there is no support for abac credentials yet in the PL-SFA as of now.
