Hi!

I'm asking if it is possible to support the 'pacweb' system used by many libraries (communal and from universities) in Portugal.

For example the university of evora (http://servir.uevora.pt/) or the municipal library of elvas (http://pacweb.cm-elvas.pt/)

I think the creator of the software is this one: http://prisma.mind.pt/en/prisma_produtospac.aspx

I hope it's easy to implement 🤞

Nice app you have! Hope many people in Portugal can use it soon 😁

Greetings!

Hi,

it looks like pacweb uses the same web framework as Bibliotheca OPEN, a software which we implemented a few years ago (https://github.com/opacapp/opacclient/blob/master/opacclient/libopac/src/main/java/de/geeksfactory/opacclient/apis/Open.java). But of course, it is still a completely different OPAC software, so that doesn't help with the implementation very much.

OPEN was not very easy to implement, the HTTP POST requests that need to be sent to the OPAC e.g. for starting a search contain a lot of additional validation data that is sometimes generated with JavaScript on the client side. But still, we managed to do that, so it should also be possible to implement pacweb.

Due to the large amount of work needed to implement a new system, we currently don't do this ourselves if the library doesn't buy our Plus Edition. But we would be open for contributions!
