how in navview menu keep submenu open when we click on an item

Hello

Is it possible to keep the submenu open when we click on an item ?
I have a general page page1
when I click on menu -> submenuA -> item1 : it load the page submenuA_item1

Each page includes the navview menu (with php include)
I think I have to add a javascript code to reopen the correct submenu automatically ?
Do you have an example on how to do this please ?
