@oasisfeng I'm not sure if you're still maintaining this app, or moved to more interesting projects. However, if you still plan to maintain Island, I'd really appreciatr it if you'd look over this issue:

Apps that exist installed under work profile (visible in Settings/Work Profile Apps), and have been installed directly under Island (either from Island cloned Play Store, or sideloaded, disappear from Island.

Important: they don't get frozen: they vanish and can't be accessed from within Island anymore.

Device: Google Pixel 7 Pro
OS: Android 14 GrapheneOS

Thank you.

I had this problem just now

What I did was, I opened a file explorer which had access to Internal Storage/Android/data to make sure that the app did not get uninstalled. And then I tried to install the same app from Google Play as cloning from MAINLAND never worked, and it started the download process, I noticed this strange behavior and immediately canceled it.

Then I went to MAINLAND, cloned the app to ISLAND, and magically, the app reappeared. An error message might still prompt during the clone process, ignore it

@yueyejinghun That's not a fix. It's a dirty workaround. What I did in my case: I switched to Shelter. Problem solved.

I fail to understand how your method differs from mine. Joking :)

On 2024 Samsung devices, both Shelter and Insular can't even be installed. I saw your issue and posted a workaround for those in the same boat.

Some additional information:
I found it on Samsung stock ROM, if I add the app in ISLAND to Device care - Battery - Background usage limits - Deep sleeping apps, and then freeze it in ISLAND, it disappears. I am not sure if this is the same cause for you too

It's possible to be related. However, the device where I encountered the issue was a Pixel 7 Pro with GrapheneOS ROM.
