The DEI committee of Project Jupyter is interested in contributing to the A Mentoring Guide for Open Projects created at the DISC Unconference 2023 by @melissawm, @Cheukting, @ElegantTolly, @OriolAbril, and me. We believe this initiative aligns with our goals of promoting diversity and inclusion in open-source communities.
We're open to discussing potential collaboration, and we truly appreciate your feedback and input.
It's nice to have the Juuter DEI committee of projects wanting to contribute to the resource!
One of the primary goals of this resource is to ensure it remains valuable and adaptable for various organizations, programs, and projects, including outstanding initiatives like theirs.
I am looking forward to seeing how their insights will enrich the guide. Let’s make it happen, @LucyJimenez !
Hi Kamila and Omotala - thanks so much for flagging this work from the last DISC Unconference! @LucyJimenez has since stepped away from the Jupyter DEI committee to focus on other projects but we would of course welcome her participation any time. I shared this post with the current committee in our meeting today and we have added it to a list of potential future projects. That list is quite long but I do hope that we are able to work on this at some point.
