Before registrating a datacatalog the user have the possibility to see how their datacatalog will look like in the website. This issue has some similarities with a already solved issue where the user can check if their datasetdescription is valid or not. However, in this case we create an extra step where we give a user the possibility to preview their datacatalog. With this functionality the user can see with their own eyes what can be improved on their datasetcatalog/description. In the end, this will help users to deliver higher quality datasets and improve user experience.

The current proces of registrating a datacatalog is quite frustrating because the moment that it is in production/live, thats the moment a user realizes that their datacatalog have some (presentation) issues. The process of creating such datacatalogs is time consuming for archival instituions because they are dependant on (external) developers and users, who cannot test the endresult themselves. This proces of going back and forth between developers and the NDE datasetregister is not improving the usability and have a negative impact on user experience.

Idea's for implementation:
Its possible for users to check when their datacatalog is valid or not (without pushing to the database). At this point we create an extra step; if the datacatalog is valid, the users can see a preview in:
