A few days ago I stopped syncing normally. Log shows slow orphan process.
I have 10-30 peers, some of them are dead, but with any number of peers, I still can't keep up with the network speed.
Sometimes synchronization speeds up and blocks are downloaded, but after a while the consensus still gets lost.
Cpu and memory are fine:
I`ve restarted node many times, fully resynced, but nothing helped.
I think this can be consensus bug.

My node in West US (Azure) is experiencing the same. Another one feels great in Frankfurt, I’ve migrated validator there for now.
I could not correlate this issue with ram/cpu/io/network usage. The only hypothesis left is that location does actually matter, and that is very bad for network decentralization.
I am on latest commit fe435d02c5ea497933c89d5e7d1703d9379b7e1f

I`ve migrated to NL and problem seems to be solved.
