Hi,

I found a phylogenetic tree on https://motu-tool.org/download.html for version 2.5.
Can you also provide one for version 2.6?

Would be greatly appreciated!
Best,
Hannah

Hi Hannah,

Thanks for your interest in mOTUs. We are currently working on mOTUs 2.6.1 to solve some small bugs and we will work on the tree after that.

Best,
alessio

Dear Alessio,
Is there a phylogenetic tree for mOTUs 2.6.1 somewhere already? I didn't find a file with it anywhere, but perhaps I didn't look for it properly.
Kind regards,
Arty

For now it's still not available. We extended mOTUs 2.6 to 3.0 and working on that.
Do you need the tree for 2.6.1 or you are planning to use version 3?

Thanks for a quick response! I didn't know 3.0 is already in development, and I'd love to use it once it's available (if it is, where can I find it?).
I think for my type of analysis both a tree for 2.6.1 and 3.0 would work. If 2.6.1 tree is not available at all, is there a way to generate it from raw data, but keeping the annotations (so ext-motus for example) the same? I used mOTUs module in ngless to generate abundance matrix.

mOTUs 3.0.1 is available both from github and from bioconda (https://anaconda.org/bioconda/motus).
I'm not sure how you can integrate it into ngless.

Awesome, thank you, I'll try to make it work! Is there a 3.0 phylogenetic tree already, or is that one in development?

We are waiting to fix the taxonomy and mOTUs definition, so to have a final set of genes that we can use to build the tree. Would need to wait a little bit more.

Hello :)
I would like to ask if there has been any progress in making taxonomic tress, in particular for mOTUs3?
Or is there some way to infer them from the database itself?

We are working on it. I will keep you updated.

Hi, I would like to ask if I can build a phylogenetic tree with motus3 at present?

Hi,
I am using version 3.1 and I was wondering if there is a species tree available?
Thanks!
